Grimm: start of the new season
I really like Grimm. And I'm sad that I missed the season opener this past Monday. Apparently, instead of the Olympics giving Grimm a boost, they killed viewership. I get the reason why - we were all burnt out from 16 days of Sport. But this doesn't mean NBC should look to Grimm opening numbers as an actual statistic. Again, NBC -- us fans were just burnt out!
So, I got to see it last night and yes, Grimm is back and better than ever. Firstly, they changed up the opening credits with darker and more driving music. Lots of splices of previous season images culminating into a very darker looking Nick.
We've got to wonder about how Nick will change now that his mother is in the picture, and he begins to learn that he's been played all along. Will he stop caring about his Wessen friends?
Anyway, I'm not about to do an episode recap - you can get that on www.nbc.com/grimm/
My job is just to tell you that Grimm is worth watching. If you haven't seen it before, it's not too late because it's only the second season. So get a copy of the first season - watch it quick and get caught up. You'll like the way the second starts up!

Go On and on and on and on....
Let's talk fall line up for sitcoms for a second. NBC hyped up two new shows during the Olympics - Go On and Animal Practice. Here's my opinion on the two of them.
Go On
Mathew Perry has been trying to be on a show for the last couple years to no avail. All of which portray him as a guy with no feelings (frankly, this is his typecast). Watching a show about a person with no feelings is truly b-o-r-i-n-g, and it's no wonder that all his shows have been flops. Go On also portrays Perry as a man with no feelings, but at least in this case, it's because he's just lost his beloved wife. Finally, we can actually feel for Perry's character and so, I think Go On is worth a couple more watches before making the call.
Animal Practice
NBC is pouring out the shows of men with no feelings. Maybe they're trying to emulate House but they're striking out with Animal Practice. It's basically House with animals. Man with no feelings runs a hospital. ho hum. I never liked House and I don't like Animal Practice. I watched about 15 minutes of the show and proceeded to do something I generally never do -- turn off the TV. Best guest - this show lasts until the mid-season and is cut cut cuttttttt!

To Dive into my first post...
The purpose of my blog is to discuss all things TV and at this moment in television history that means the London 2012 Olympics. Whether it be the excitement of the Speed Walking race, the battle for supremacy on the Trampoline or the lack of volleyball coverage (clearly 34 hours a day isn't enough), one cannot overlook the beauty of Diving. Sure anyone can jump 5 feet in the air and spin 20 times while hitting the water gracefully, but can they do it while also looking like they are in terrible pain? Well let's take a look...
